What are the conditions for opening a business account?

In order to open a business account at Coinhouse, the following conditions must be met:

  • The company must be registered in Europe.
  • The country where the business is established must be on the list of approved countries.
  • The funds must come from a SEPA country.
  • No shareholder must be a US citizen.
  • Transfers must come from the company's account (equity contributions are not accepted).

What documents are required ?

The following documents will be required to finalise the creation of your company account:

  • Photo of ID
  • Selfie
  • Proof of address (personal)
  • KBIS (or equivalent in your country)
  • Company status
  • Bank statement
  • Register of beneficial owners
  • Fill in a client knowledge questionnaire for legal entities (directly available upon registration).
  • For investments of more than €10,000, the tax return (latest balance sheet) must also be provided.

For any shareholder holding more than 25% of the share capital, the shareholder's identity card, selfie and proof of address must also be provided.

If you are creating an account but you're not the legal representant, you must also provide us with the power of attorney.

 

How long does it take to validate the account ?

 

If all the documents are in order and the application is complete, validation is usually done in less than 48 hours.
