The Merge is a major update to the Ethereum protocol. It will mainly allow a change in the transaction verification mechanism on this blockchain.
Ethereum will therefore switch from the proof-of-work (POW) verification method to the proof of stake (POS).
If you want to know more about verification methods and how they can be advantageous, do not hesitate to consult our full article about it 👈🏻
That should I do to prepare for The Merge?
You have absolutely nothing to do. No manipulation on your part holders ETH Ethereum tokens will always appear as ETH in users' wallets.
Can I trade before The Merge?
The project does not anticipate any network downtime and will continue to operate optimally during The Merge.
However, and in order to apply the utmost caution when doing this , purchase, sale, withdraw and deposit of Ethereum (ETH) as well as all ERC-20s (projects developed on Ethereum) will be suspended no later than six hours before The Merge.
When our technical teams have determined that the update has been successful and that the network is stable, we will restart all the functionalities of our platform.

The list of cryptos on the Coinhouse platform likely to be impacted is as follows:
ETH, LINK, MKR, REP, SHIB, BAT, UNI, MATIC MANA, APE, AXS, SAND, THETA, MKR, FTM, PAXG, CRV, LRC, ENJ, KNC , SNX, YFI, BAL, UMA
Am I eligible for ETHW in case of Fork of Ethereum?
If Ethereum blockchain miners proceed with a process known as forking, which consists of dividing the blockchain in two, a new token may be created: ETHW.
If this crypto-asset (ETHW) generates enough interest on the market and a quotation is established on platforms offering sufficient liquidity, Coinhouse will resell the generated ETHWs and credit the USDT equivalent of the ETHWs to the account of its customers who hold Ethereum at the time of The Merge.
