Switch from Coinhouse Secure Access to the Coinhouse app
If you used Coinhouse Secure Access to validate your logins and sensitive actions, you can now set up your strong authentication directly in the main Coinhouse app.
The Coinhouse app is now available in 29 European countries.
This change follows the rollout of the Coinhouse app in new European countries, as part of the expansion of our services across Europe.
This procedure mainly concerns clients who were using the Coinhouse Secure Access app before the main Coinhouse app became available in their country.
In short: to switch from Coinhouse Secure Access to the Coinhouse app, first delete your strong authentication from your space in the Coinhouse Secure Access app, then uninstall Coinhouse Secure Access from your device, then install the Coinhouse app, and finally set up your new strong authentication during your first login.
Before you begin: make sure you have access to the email address and phone number linked to your Coinhouse account. They will be required to receive the verification codes.
The 4 steps to follow
1. Delete your current strong authentication
From the home page of Coinhouse Secure Access, click the bin icon and confirm.
2. Uninstall Coinhouse Secure Access
Once your strong authentication has been deleted, you can uninstall the Coinhouse Secure Access app from your device.
3. Install the Coinhouse app
Download the main Coinhouse app from the App Store or the Google Play Store.
4. Set up your new strong authentication
Log in to the Coinhouse app, then follow the instructions: email code, SMS code, then creation of your personal 6-digit SCA code.
How to delete the old strong authentication
From your Coinhouse Secure Access app, click the bin icon linked to your strong authentication, then confirm.
Once this step is completed, you can uninstall Secure Access, then install the Coinhouse app and set up your new strong authentication directly from it.
Coinhouse Secure Access was used by some clients to validate their strong authentication when the main Coinhouse app was not yet available in their country.
Now that the Coinhouse app is available in your country, you can use a single app to:
- view your account;
- track your portfolio;
- carry out your transactions;
- validate your logins and sensitive actions using strong authentication.
This provides a simpler, smoother and more complete experience.
Strong authentication, also known as SCA, is a security feature that allows certain sensitive actions on your Coinhouse account to be confirmed.
It may be required when logging in, making a transaction, or performing any action that requires stronger verification.
In the Coinhouse app, this authentication is based in particular on a personal 6-digit code that you create during enrolment.
After installing the Coinhouse app and logging in to your account, the app will guide you through setting up your new strong authentication.
The process usually includes:
- entering a 6-digit verification code received by email;
- entering a 4-digit verification code received by SMS;
- creating a new personal 6-digit SCA code.
This SCA code will then allow you to validate certain sensitive actions from the Coinhouse app.
If you do not receive the verification code, first check:
- that your email address is correct;
- that the email did not land in your junk or spam folders;
- that your phone has good mobile network reception;
- that the phone number linked to your Coinhouse account is still up to date.

No. This procedure only concerns the app used to access your account and validate your sensitive actions.
It does not affect your funds, your crypto-assets, your transaction history, or the main settings of your Coinhouse account.
