How to create a Individual account ?

To open an individual account with Coinhouse, you must meet the following conditions:

• Possess a national identity card, a passport , or a residence permit issued by one of the countries in the SEPA zone. You can find the list below.

This document must be valid at the time of your registration.
Due to regulatory obligations, certain restrictions may apply based on geographic criteria.

Please refer to our terms and conditions. (To avoid explicitly mentioning nationality, which may seem discriminatory.)

• Provide a valid email address that is unique to a single Coinhouse account.
• Enter your personal information during the onboarding process.
• Own a mobile phone with a camera. You will need to follow the online instructions to verify your identity remotely by taking a photo of yourself and your identification document. (see example here)

You will need to provide the following documents to complete the creation of your Individual Account:

• A readable and high-quality photo of a valid identification document, which can be: (European passport, European national identity card, European residence permit, the document must be fully visible).
• To carry out certain operations, proof of the origin of euro funds or crypto-assets deposited on the Coinhouse platform may be required, with valid supporting documents.

→ By providing this document, your account will be at "Level 1", once verified by our compliance team. A first transfer from your bank account, opened in a European Union institution, may be required to finalize your account opening. 

• If all documents are in order and the online process is completed successfully, validation is done in less than 10 minutes. Otherwise, validation may take 24 to 72 hours. You will be notified by email if a document is missing or invalid.
